For task two we had to make an advertisement for our assigned earrings. We also had to have a slogan and background to match.

I chose a simple pose and hairstyle to let the earrings shine and while the dress had a touch of extravagance to it, I kept it relatively simple.
The slogan, 'Go extravagant or go home' popped into my head when talking to an sd friend and after choosing other possible slogans, I chose that one.
I felt a bit bored with the my fonts (and if I downloaded any more my laptop might just die aha) so I wrote the slogan myself.
The background felt a pretty good choice. I saw in other entries that people with the same assigned earrings were going for a jungle feel and while exotic and extravagant, I wasn't feeling it. I felt that a beach would fit in with the earrings while not stealing the spotlight.
With the skin and dress shading, I tried to take into account the feedback about making my shading look deeper and increased the opacity for the darker layers on the skin and I think it looks okay. Though I'm not entirely happy with it, I don't know what it is that's bugging me about it but I hope to find out when it comes to the judging.
If I'm honest, I'm not sure about the hair but I like the style in itself. I started off with a reddish brown colour but I thought that wasn't working so I switched to a blonde and I feel it improved it a lot.
